How to Create a Dream Board

In my previous article “An Opportunity to Let Go”, I invited you to release and let go of the past. If you followed the process, you know you have now more space for new things to embrace. If you haven’t, I strongly suggest to read the article and enjoy the results of both processes. Because with the ending of a year and a decade, this is the right time to wish, to dream, to visualize big and to open ourselves to believe and trust.

Isn’t wonderful that we can make wishes anytime and anywhere, like when daydreaming or when making wishes at New Year's Eve party? It’s nice! but the problem with these methods is that our dreams can float so fast or high in the clouds that we can’t get completely be present within our feelings. We aren’t truly printing our dreams and needs where they need to be: in the present, with our breath, with our conscious mind, and our open hearts.

To make those dreams come true and turn tangible, we need to put real intention, willingness and actions where is needed. So, one of the best ways that I personally love, is doing a dream board. It’s an easy way to represent the life we want to live. It’s a great tool that helps us visualize in a clear way our dreams and desires so our intentions can be lived and enjoyed fully in mind, body and spirit.

Also, when having a physical dream board, we’re able to see it anytime as a reminder of our intentions to elevate our desire to accomplish them, to improve ourselves, and to find all the tools needed to make them come true.

DREAM BOARD

A little bit more than a decade ago I made this dream board that can be an example of what you can do. Remember that this has to come from your heart, there is no abilities necessary at all. However, this one belongs now to the past and I’m personally ready to start a new one; starting as my new me.

What to do:

1. Connect within

The best and easy way to connect with our desires and dreams is by using stillness through meditation. Close your eyes, connect with your breath and the sensations in the body. And little by little start letting thoughts to scattered away and connect into the body’s stillness. Once you are balanced with the power of the internal silence, you can start visualizing, imagining and feeling your dreams. Let yourself float around all that your heart is needing and craving. Visualize how do you see yourself growing like; for example like a tree, a flower, a mountain, as a cloud, or even as a flowing river, etc. Images or words will show off. And relax! this might take a while. Be open to any income.

2. Stay present:

Once ready, open your eyes and stay still, centered, and present. Enjoy the emotions in your heart; free and detached from doubts, fears, or judgments.

3. Take action:

Decide what is the best way for you to release your dreams and intentions. Choose if you want to write, draw, cut or paste pictures from old magazines. Just remember that somehow you need to be on the board. With all your materials handy (like cardboard or a frame, paper, crayons, magazines to cut or any printing material that inspires) have fun letting creativity go wild ;)

4. Make it visible

It’s important to keep your dream board in a place where you can see it constantly as a reminder and inspiration of the life that you deserve. Actually, it might be nice to meditate after reviewing it once in a while to engage your awareness, soul and emotions on your goals.

In the long term by being aware of our dreams and the desire to improve them, it helps the desire to be imprinted in our subconscious mind and in our deepest higher self. This will lead us to take action and seek the needed information to meet our goals and dreams.

I truly wish your dreams are as big and bright as you are and as big as you want them to be. I invite you to trust that the universe is always supporting you to make our biggest dreams come true.

The light in me, recognizes the light in you,
