Important Decision to Release Stress

In a high demanding life, based in the mind, everybody is now suffering from stress. And sadly, if the lifestyle chosen is not stressful enough, very easily, the well known “monkey brain” will always take control if we decide to allow it.



Honestly, the main source of much of our stress comes from our minds because we’re constantly deciding to live there. The mind is able to take us to the past or to the future in a matter of seconds. It has easy access but harsh consequences if we stay there. Once there, the mind is able to trap us into constant thinking, planning, projecting, and much more. 


If we see this situation on a big scale, we have been taught to live like this since forever. We’re taught that we need to live thinking what to do, what to eat, who to love, how to behave... So today, the to do list is very long since the moment we open our eyes in the morning. We don’t even give ourselves permission to observe our breath.


But why?! Is this really helpful? If the mind is really helping us to think and “solve”, why don't we solve the body tension or stress? and why can't we enjoy a peaceful life? Why are we still very stressed all the time?


In many ideologies or philosophies like in yoga, the mind is merely an instrument to use only when necessary. Of course, it can save important information for us like experiences and knowledge. It can help us to organize and plan. But that's it! If we see the mind as a tool or a computer, we can find out that it is super useful. We don’t need to rely on it for everything in our lives. We’re designed to create from our hearts.


Let’s put things clear, the mind will never support us to love, to be peaceful or happy. The actual tool in charge of our lives and very very useful are our hearts. From the heart, we’re able to feel, enjoy, connect with our intuitions to create, and of course love ourselves and others. 


For example, if you try to read this article with a wide-open mind, relaxing your forehead and brain and focus in an alert heart, you might notice that right away the muscles of your body settle down and everything can feel bright differently. Very simple!


This can happen in just a matter of seconds and allow ourselves to release. Even better, by just focusing on our hearts and ignoring the mind we can be present in our breath.


I invite you today to see, experience and live your life from your heart. Notice that everything it’s ok from this perspective, that you’re safe and you can be very happy when the heart is the only one in charge of your mind, body and your spirit.
