Meditating for an Empty Space

During a meditation there is an amazing moment of emptiness where everything starts making more sense. It’s a place where there is no mind or body awareness. The mind collapses to see that there is not much to say and the body is just present but unaware. Everything here starts looking more clear and safe.

Meditation is a beautiful practice of self-reflection and awareness. Meditation can guide us to open places to release, to heal and to expand, but at the same time to understand better our feelings, the roots of our habits and our journeys in this physical reality.

I usually recommend to start with a simple 3 to 5 minute meditation; simply releasing the thoughts like if they were moving clouds in the sky. But also, it’s a great idea to stare at a candle light and observe our emotions without any attachments. It doesn’t matter the method as long as you practice and enjoy it.

Once practice is built, you can have the great opportunity to open and discover different paths that can guide you to a deeper self-awareness.

Right now, we all have space and time to decide to start this practice; understanding the magic of meditation. There is no age or gender limitation when there is willingness to move forward.

I invite you to try this while reading very slowly:

Start by sitting cross legged in a relaxed environment without distractions or perhaps in the center of your backyard.

Keep a very straight spine with relaxed shoulders.

Feel your legs and hips grounded and your torso and head light and lifted.

Pay close attention to the flow of your breath, just the way it is, and little by little start extending the exhales; releasing tensions and thoughts……..

Imagine that you have a special scanner that will be checking and releasing each part of your body starting from your toes all the way to your head..............(take a moment to do the whole body...).

Connect with the area of your heart center and observe emotions and feelings that might be connected to situations or people…….

Encapsule those emotions and thoughts into a bubble and move the bubble in front of you (out of your body)........

Observe all its sides, textures, colors like if there were somebody else’s life moments.

Forgive, ask forgiveness, and say thank you for the growth that it has given you.

And start looking how the bubble will start moving far forward from you; getting smaller and blurry until it is so so tiny that you can’t see it anymore.

Go back to your heart and enjoy the space that you had emptied.

And fill it out with a lovely light...

Enjoy for a couple of more breaths the sensation of emptiness and fulfillment at the same time…

Enjoy the feeling that there is no need to do more and that everything is already solved.

…..

When ready, you can come back to your breath and scan your physical body to wake it up little by little. Maybe even stretch your entire body

You can do this meditation a couple of times by reading it often and whenever you feel ready you can practice it with close eyes.

You’ll see that pretty soon that empty space will turn more and more pleasant and more enjoyable and you will start discovering different aspects of your divine self.
