Woking-In Instead of Working-Out

“Everything you can imagine is real” - Pablo Picasso

We live in a present that it’s all the time changing with outcomes that guide us to live in a constant judgment mode. What is bad or good, wrong or right, where nothing is enough. There is nothing that can fulfill us in this kind of lifestyle because everything is superficial. It’s all about work, clothes, stores, buying, others saying what are doing well or wrong, how to live, or what is next on the list to keep going, and so forth.

How challenging it is to find us in our lives where there are so many intermediaries like TV, phone, people, advertisements, criticizes, judgements and more. We live more than half of our day close to the phone reading the news from family, friends, community, about the country and the world. We’re surrounded by external information that doesn’t belong to us and most of the time is negative. And sadly, we’re so used to it that we now have the need to be constantly looking for negative outcomes instead of finding healthy activities and choices. Because, the challenge of living in this constant outside life is that there is no space to stop and relax; there’s no time to appreciate the bright divine beings we are.

It’s crucial to start changing the way we live. It’s important to find enriching and fulfilling choices that can bring us to live in harmony and joy. It’s time to start looking activities far from unhealthy activities, medications, or from blaming others of our incomes. We should take responsibility for what we need and take action. The options are big. We can look to be more relaxing with outcomes that enrich us like a nice length of sleep or nap, relaxing activities like a massage, reading a book, listening to music and maybe physical activities like walking, jogging, running, yoga, pilates, and swimming. Or even, we can play a board game with our family and friends, or do a hike together. Today is the day to take action and literally “work-in”; work in us.

We need to start reconnecting with the divine beings that we are by finding ways to engage with that beautiful energy that each one of us have. Life has a beautiful plan for us, as beautiful as a landscape or as those beautiful moments that we had seen and lived. We can allow every cell of us to live in full, feeling it and enjoying it; living in awareness.

Every day is a new chance to try again, to grow and to let transformation happen and transform each part of us. We have the power in our lives to work in us and shine our light. Live within you and you will enjoy yourself more. I invite you as always to live your fullest by embracing where you are already. There is no need to find anything outside. Living in the present and aware of it are tools for us to keep working in.

In the moment that we start working with the new you, the outside will just mirror that amazing peace and harmony of pure elements for us to enjoy.

That is why in yoga we are always working with-in and not just focusing on work-out. Because in the moment that we start working with-in, the mind gets cleared, the heart gets open, all organs and cells in our body start working for us. And from now then, we can move around knowing that everything inside is clear, open, bright and shiny. Let’s be the observers of our lives, come back to us and let’s live inside first.

The light in me, recognizes the light in you,
